Rice crispies

These crunchy Rice Crispy Bars are a fun, hands-on recipe to make with kids.. smash, stir, sprinkle and freeze. Made with pantry staples and no baking required, they’re sweet, simple and perfect for little helpers who love getting involved. Keep them stashed in the freezer for an easy treat that taste just like the real thing! Best eaten straight from the freezer.

Ingredients:

  • 6 brown rice cakes ( 2 cups when smashed)

  • 1 tbsp tahini

  • ¼ cup honey

  • ¼ cup coconut oil, melted

  • Sprinkles


METHOD:

  • In a large bowl, mix the tahini, coconut oil and honey until well combined.

  • Add your smashed and crumbled rice cakes and combine everything well.

  • In a loaf tin (we like to use silicone to pop it out easily, otherwise line your tin with baking paper, pour the mixture in and pat it down well with the back of a spoon or your hands to ensure its tight.

  • Add your sprinkles ontop.

  • Place into the freezer for at least 3 hours, remove it, cut into squares and enjoy!

  • Best kept in the freezer to keep it well together.
