Ingredients (1/2 the recipe for a smaller batch)

  • 1/2 cup melted coconut oil

  • 1/2 cup maple syrup

  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

  • 1/2 cup cacao powder

  • 2 cups rolled oats

  • 3 cups of rice puffs or quinoa puffs (we like to mix)

  • 1/2 cup crushed sunflower seeds

  • 1/2 cup shredded coconut

  • 1/2 cup hemp seeds

  • 3 tablespoons chia seeds

  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon

  • Sprinkle of sea salt

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (360°F). Line a large baking tray.

  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the coconut oil, maple syrup and vanilla extract and cacao powder until well combined.

  3. Add the remaining ingredients. (If serving to little ones under four, blitz the sunflower seeds briefly before adding.) Mix well to ensure the oats, puffs and seeds are fully coated.

  4. Spread over the baking tray and bake for 18 minutes, tossing half way to prevent the top from burning.

  5. Leave to cool for 10 minutes before enjoying 💜
